Latest Press Info by our AM-partner:
The Swiss start-up Gravity Pull Systems is bringing a so far unique software solution onto the market that converts additive manufacturing processes into holistic overall processes through AI-applications and creates higher cost efficiency. The solution is used in the aerospace, automotive, automation and medical industries.
Compared to existing software solutions, each with singular functions, the holistic 24/7 solution approach of the AI-based software platform Synoptik enables industrialized manufacturing processes across all process stages:
- Dynamic adaptation of changed process parameters in real time through integration of the Scheduling Optimizer function in a Manufacturing Execution System (MES), which regulates e the flexible adaptation of production times.
- 24/7 full transparency and traceability across the entire manufacturing process through continuous monitoring via Track & Trace.
- Configurable workflows ensure industry-specific compliance requirements for aerospace, automotive, automation and medical technology.
- Higher profitability in additive manufacturing processes through reduced manufacturing costs and lower material consumption, which also has a lasting effect on environmental protection.
The way Synoptik works is based on highly complex AI-models whose algorithms calculate all changes to process parameters, material consumption and schedules 24/7 in real time. Manufacturing processes are continuously adapted to new results and production costs are continuously recalculated.
The digital transformation in additive manufacturing at Industry 4.0 / IIot level is given an additional boost by the AI-based applications:
New or time-bound orders can be easily incorporated into the more transparent production environment without affecting existing production processes, and ensure higher productivity and utilization of production capacities.
Continuous monitoring of all parameter settings with adjustment of material consumption and procurement, batch mixing, quality inspection and fault reports „on the fly“ ensures the efficient use of resources for sustainable production.
New batch numbers are generated automatically, e.g. when mixing batches, increasing or decreasing the cycles of recyclable material, or reclassifying recycled powder according to test processes. Production objects such as construction panels or generated material batches are serialized in order to call up the exact course of individual parts, e.g. the X / Y / Z coordinates of parts within a given build panel.
The immutability of logged data is relevant for conformity to audit and compliance requirements. This is ensured by sensors that, in addition to storing and writing information on a non-modifiable data storage medium (e.g. blockchain), generate private or public keys without manual intervention.
The functionality is demonstrated in the Synoptik product video.
